Manufacturers of the components of the FOSS actively started to prepare for the release of the first graphic adapters Nvidia GeForce RTX. The German company Alphacool yesterday presented the full coverage of the waterblocks Eisblock GPX-N 2080Ti, aimed at future owners of video cards GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti in the reference design Founders Edition.
Alphacool Eisblock GPX-N 2080Ti is available in versions with acrylic and acetal lid. In the first case, an LED RGB lighting is present. The base of the "boats" is made of nickel-plated copper and has a series of microchannels designed to improve the efficiency of heat dissipation from the GPU.
When selling water blocks Alphacool Eisblock GPX-N 2080Ti arrives on 20 September. The version with an acrylic cover was estimated at € 150, and for the variant of the acetal it would be necessary to pay 115 euros.
In the meantime, the famous EK Water Blocks brought prototypes for coolant to the Gamescom 2018 exhibition for new video cards. Their design as a whole is inherited from many other water blocks from the Slovenian supplier's range and combines a copper-plated base with a transparent acrylic coating.
Among the features of the new water blocks is a large recess for the NVLink connector. Like the products from Alphacool, the new EKWB will go on sale on September 20th, this is where the first GeForce RTX video adapters will reach the stores.
