Ukrainian national team head coach Andriy Shevchenko reacted to Andriy Lunin’s mistake in the 40th minute of the game against Poland, giving Piontek the lead for the hosts.
“As for Lunin’s mistake, everyone is wrong. He cut the ball. Besides, the quality of the field did not match our level. It was difficult to control the ball. Andrei probably made a mistake because of the quality of the field. Besides that mistake he played a great game.
“I don’t see any problem with this error. If you’re constantly watching for mistakes, I don’t see the prospects of working with football players any further,” said Shevchenko.
Earlier, the expert already commented on the defeat to the Polish national team in a friendly match.
