1159 page & # 39; s Bipartisan border compromise completed, Trump unclear about support

Congressional negotiators finalized a 1175 page border ban on Wednesday, which would make President Trump earn less than a quarter of the $ 5.7 billion he wanted to build a wall with Mexico.

Summaries of legislation say that in addition to nearly $ 1.4 billion to build new barriers, there is more than $ 1 billion for other border security programs. That includes money for inspection equipment for border ports of entry. There is more than $ 400 million in humanitarian aid for detained migrants plus funds to buy aircraft and hire 600 additional customs officers and additional immigration judges.

Congressional negotiators announced on Monday that they had "reached an agreement in principle" on border security funding that included more than $ 1.3 billion for physical barriers along the US-Mexico border. The White House initially requested $ 5.7 billion for the boundary wall.

A conservative source told Fox News that the bill "is leaking oil right now" – and Trump does not say if he will support it.

Lawmakers have until 23:59 hours. Friday to reach the agreement by both Congress Houses and signed by Trump before several cabinet-level departments have been closed and hundreds of thousands of federal workers have been turned away in what would be the second partial closure of the government this year.

The measure would start by reducing the number of unauthorized immigrants that can be held by the Immigration and Customs Agency. Congress approval is expected on Thursday and Trump's signature is likely to be considered.
