Google usually holds up to the end of the year to announce new hardware, but there are already rumors about the plans for 2019. According to a report from Nikkei Asian review, a publication in Japan, this year's Made by Google line-up will include a new Wear OS smartwatch, smart home speaker, Nest Cam and a budget Pixel handset.

Now all this information is not new. First, we have heard rumors of a smartwatch made by Google for quite some time. Now that the Silicon Valley company buys $ 40 million in smartwatch technology from Fossil and Wear-OS code names seen in AOSP, it seems like at least Google is working on new portable hardware.

The company will also roll out an updated version of its signature smart speaker Google Home this year, as well as a new smartwatch to compete with the Apple Watch, the person familiar with the plan.

What is interesting is that Nikkei claims that we should expect an updated version of Google Home. It is not clear whether this means that the company adds another smart speaker to its range or that the original Google Home released in 2016 will receive second generation updates.

At the end of last year rumors were reported that Google would change the name of Nest. It was believed that this step would enable the company to sell the security items more easily in addition to its range of Home products. Although the Japanese publication did not comment on this rumor, it claims that the company will release at least one new security camera.

One person with direct knowledge of the case told Nikkei that Google plans to release a new security camera later this year after the team has been integrated with Nest Labs, the technical start-up it acquired in 2014. Nest Labs has been building cameras for domestic use since 2015

And last but not least, Nikkei claims to have exclusive information about the company's plans to issue a budget Pixel smartphone. Although it is not a real secret that the search giant works on two lower phones, the publication states that the devices are cheaper than the iPhone XR.

Since the smaller Pixel 3 starts at $ 799 (and is regularly on sale), it's not hard to believe that a budget Pixel 3 Lite or Pixel 3 XL Lite could sell less than the price tag of $ 749 from the iPhone XR.

So now we ask what you would expect from a second generation Google Home? Do you think the company should stop making smartwatches? Let us know your opinion in the comment section below!
