At least four shots were fired at the office of the Republican party of Volusia County in South Daytona, police said Monday.
No one was injured, according to the South Daytona Capt. Police. Mark Cheatham, but the shooting broke the windshield of the office and caused some damage to the drywall inside.
Cheatham said a volunteer reported the incident Monday, which could have occurred between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning at the office on 2841 South Nova Road.
No eyewitnesses have been identified and researchers are currently tracking down images of neighboring businesses, Cheatham said.
Anyone with information about the incident should call the South Daytona Police Department at 386-322-3030.
