Industry Day: it is celebrated on 2 September because, on a day like today in the year 1587, the "first Argentinian export abroad" was produced. This consisted of an enormous amount of bags of flour and substances from the region that currently includes the province of Santiago del Estero.
A day like today, but in 1805, was born Esteban Echeverría, famous Argentine poet and patriot who brought the "Romanticism" movement to Argentina. He published "El Matadero", one of his most acclaimed works.
On 2 September 1944, Anne Frank was taken to Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland. The girl was taken there along with her whole family and died days before the end of the Second World War.

Migue Granados: the famous Argentinian actor and comedian was born on September 2, 1986. He worked on the television program "Sin Codificar".
