the Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced that this Wednesday a vaccination campaign will be carried out to immunize the children and adults at the Minka shopping center in Callao against measles.
According to the health institution, there has been an increase in cases of measles in Venezuela, Brazil and other countries in Latin America in recent months.
That is why the preventive activities are carried out, although only 5 imported cases were registered in Peru until July of this year.
The Minsa warned that measles is a highly contagious disease that particularly affects children under the age of 5 and all those who have not been vaccinated. He also emphasized that the measles vaccine is safe and guaranteed by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO / WHO).
