Diplomatic missions begin the delivery of passports to Venezuelans abroad with people

A total of 32 embassies and consulates have received passports of Venezuelans living abroad, material that was forwarded 93 diplomatic bags jointly between the Administrative Department for Identification and Immigration (Saime) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As published the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its website, Africa, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, Canada, United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Hungary, United Kingdom, Romania, Switzerland, Nicaragua, Barbados, Colombia, Paraguay, Brazil, Guyana and Suriname, are some of the countries who have received part of the 10,000 passports and extensions that are expected to be delivered to the diplomatic services.

In case of Consulate of Venezuela in Naples, Italy, at least 270 Venezuelans living in the south of that European nation receive their biometric passports. Therefore, the consular mission carries out a special operation to speed up the delivery of the above document.

Also, the city of Houston, the United States and Ottawa in Canada received 338 and 62 passports and extensions, respectively.

This measure complies with what was announced on 13 August, by the Director of Saime, Gustavo Vizcaíno, who also said that the process of cedulación was also activated for Venezuelan minors, who will have the opportunity to conduct negotiations before diplomatic missions.

It is planned that in the coming days the arrival of suitcases continues with passports to the rest of the diplomatic offices.
