Contrary to what President Nicolás Maduro had announced for the payment of a first part of the pensions for this Saturday 1st. September several Venezuelan banking entities warned that it will be next Monday, September 3, when special days are held to cancel this concept.
The Western Discount Bank, the Bicentennial, the Active Bank and the National Credit Bank reported on their Twitter account that payment will be made in cash to the IVSS pensioners, in their usual hours, starting on Monday.
Banesco and Mercantile have in turn said that Saturday the down payment will be made and the use of electronic channels will be requested.
It should be noted that the Venezuelan government said that all pensioners in the country on Saturday, September 1, 25% of the amount corresponding to 1800 Bs.S (1/2 Petro).
It was previously known that both public and private banks would hold a special attention day for the payment of pensions.
The 4 million 371 thousand 358 retired citizens registered in the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS) will receive the corresponding amount without the need to make long queues, because according to the words of the Vice President of Communication, Tourism and Culture, Jorge Rodríguez, now the costs are immediately reflected in the bank account.
The collection of this pension for those who own the Carnet de la Patria will be deposited directly into their mobile wallet, while those who do not have the document will charge through their personal account.
"Three million 655 thousand 536 pensioners will continue paying through the bank, but now they are not going to make long queues, but on Saturday they will see the corresponding down payment on their reflected account", the Minister explained.
In this sense, the pension will be canceled as follows: a first part on 1 September; a second portion on September 7 and the corresponding part for the same month the last part. While from October will return to the usual schedule for the payment of pensions, on a monthly basis.
For its part, the Ivss reiterated that a special day of payment (this Saturday) will be made for the payment of pensions, through public and private banking in accordance with the banking sector supervision of Venezuela (SUDEBAN), with 450 Bs S. will be canceled "
