12 million toys arrive for the children of the homeland

People’s Power Minister for National Trade, Eneida Laya, received a shipment of 12 million toys at the Puerto Cabello Warehouse in Carabobo state on Thursday.

He announced that the toys will be distributed through the Governors, in consultation with the Community Councils and the Local Supply and Production Committee (CLAP).

“We adhere to the instructions of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to ensure a happy Christmas for the children and the homeland. We receive the toys that are delivered street by street and house by house, ”he said.

He explained that the shipment contains educational and musical toys for babies, as well as playful toys, bicycles and skateboards for the elderly, he refers to a MinComercio press release.

The head of the National Commerce portfolio assured that this social protection mechanism, a premise of the Bolivarian government, has not stopped despite the imperial blockade and the Covid-19 pandemic.

Many bet it wouldn’t happen because of the pandemic, on the contrary, the truth is that the toy is here and it has already been distributed in 12 states, including Anzoátegui, Amazonas, Delta Amacuro, Táchira, Bolívar, Zulia, Trujillo, Guárico , Cojedes and Monagas, ”he said.

The minister reported that the toys will be distributed throughout the country from December 16.

“We are missing 13 states to complete 100% of the regions,” the minister said while acknowledging the efforts of other state entities that have jointly made it possible to receive the cargo.

“We are organized and that has enabled us to fight against the war and the blockade. The president will continue to strengthen the protections, all we need is for them to lift this criminal blockade, Venezuelans grow up in times of trouble, ”he explained.

Minister Laya toured the Warehouse to observe the process of receiving the containers, verifying the security seals, recognizing the merchandise and, later, distributing it in the custody of the state security agencies in civilian military police.
