A student from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) committed suicide by throwing himself in front of a train.
The police were called on rails at 8:00 pm on Monday evening in the New Stands area of the Cowdray Park suburb in Bulawayo, after reporting a corpse on the rails.
Blessing Mangena, a freshman, left a suicide letter for her younger sister in which she spoke about her shame about cheating her boyfriend.
The smart, scientific student who lived with her sister in Cowdray Park was last seen when she left the university to go home on Monday afternoon.
A friend said: "She left a suicide note in which she said that she had become pregnant by another man, while her family only knew her friend Vita.
She said she regretted having to take her own life, but she could not bear the shame that the revelation of the pregnancy had brought her friend, whom she loved a lot. & # 39;
