Meet the 10 Nigerian tech startups that have been selected to pitch at Seedstars Lagos – Ventureburn

Seedstars World, one of the largest startup competitions for emerging markets, has announced the 10 Nigerian startups that will participate in the sixth Seedstars Lagos pitch event on Friday 19 October.

The startup that comes top during the pitch event, which takes place at Seedspace Lagos, will win an all-inclusive trip to attend the Seedstars Summit in April next year in Switzerland, where they stand for winning $ 1 million to capital investment.

In addition, the winning startup will also represent Nigeria at the regional meeting of Seedstars Africa, which will take place on 13 December in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

A panel consisting of Wennovation Hub COO Ahmed Umar, Tony Elumelu Foundation director for partnerships and evaluation Ifenyiwa Ugochukwu and TextNigeria managing director Chike Asiodu will select the winning startup.

The 10 start-ups that were selected to challenge it at the sixth edition of Seedstars Lagos are: a chat-based payment platform, a software as a service (SaaS) platform, an edtech startup and an agritech solution that uses drones in his mission to eliminate hunger and make food affordable.

Aspire Power Solutions: The company optimizes and delivers clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions in Nigeria.

Beat Drone: This startup uses drones to improve crop yields and reduce production costs.

Biya: Biya & # 39; s chat-based payment platform allows users to make payments in addition to allowing merchants to request and receive payments through messaging platforms such as Slack, Skype, Facebook Messenger and Telegram.

Bridgebooks: The startup offers a simplified solution for accounting analysis that provides small businesses with a platform to structure their corporate finances and make smart financial decisions.

Chekkit Technologies: A platform against counterfeiting with blockchain support that provides real-time supply chain tracking and customer experience analysis.

DropQue: DropQue uses a combination of one-way video interviews without help and an artificial assistant (AI) to help companies find the right candidates.

Insight Africa: Insight Africa's Study Lab learning management and data analysis tool helps improve the quality of the education delivered in mathematics and science and provides useful insights for teachers.

Natterbase: This crowdsourcing platform helps users to hire and manage top technology teams.

NextCounsel: NextCounsel is a management solution for lawyer practices that increases the effectiveness of law firms by offering solutions for case, document, human resources and financial management.

Termii: Termii is a Saas platform that helps teams to secure repeat customers through personalized emails and text messages sent over multiple channels.
