HARARE – Former Minister of Local Government and Zanu PF Political Commissioner Savior Kasukuere will appear at the Rotten Row Magistrates Court, which is facing accusations of some illegal land deals that he did when he was in government.
He was also questioned in connection with the Bulawayo bombing while on his way to Victoria Falls on the day of the actual bombing.
On June 23, 2018, a grenade exploded at the White City Stadium in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The explosion occurred during a ZANU-PF campaign collection, just after President Emmerson Mnangagwa finished a speech.
The explosion was described as an assassination attempt against Mnangagwa, who was unharmed.
The bombing resulted in at least 49 injuries, including vice presidents Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi, and other high-ranking government officials. Two security officers later died from their injuries.
Sorces said that Kasukuere is now the focal point of the investigations, reported an online publication, The Zimbabwenewslive.
