Zanu-PF has extended an olive branch to former party cadres that were discharged between 2014 and last year.
Among those who are invited back in the party are Rugare Gumbo, Didymus Mutasa, Ray Kaukonde, Ambrose Mutinhiri, Joice Mujuru and Dzikamai Mavhaire.
Meanwhile, Mnangagwa met with one of the top allies of former President Robert Mugabe, Ambrose Mutinhiri, in the midst of indications that the leader of the Zanu-PF has a charming offensive to lure his enemies back to the ruling party.
He was one of 23 candidates who participated in the presidential election on 30 July, where he performed dismally.
Last Wednesday, however, he met Mnangagwa, where it was agreed that the former minister of East Provincial Affairs, Mashonaland, would be acquitted to become a Zanu-PF member again.
