Walter Magaya HARARE: PHD ecclesiastical leader Prophet Walter Magaya was wounded when fire had stripped an extension of his church building a few days ago.
The enormous flames caused by faulty electricity were snowed in by firefighters who responded quickly to the emergency situation.
Magaya said he was injured when he tried to fight the fire that threatened his main church structure.
"It took me less than ten minutes to go to the church building and I thank God that the road was free to drive safely.
"The church structure was saved and only the flask was destroyed, and I suffered cuts to my two fingers during the battle to extinguish the fire," said Prophet Magaya.
Magaya did not give a clear answer when journalists asked him how he did not see the unfortunate event through visions and prayers.
"As for the fire incident, it happens to everyone who is believers and heathen, even Apostle Paul had to fight shipwreck and other challenges during his missionary journeys," he said.
