Solinas: Chiefs improved against SuperSport in the second half

Cape Town – Kaizer Chiefs trainer Giovanni Solinas has claimed that Amakhosi improved in the second half of their 1-0 MTN8 semi-final defeat against SuperSport United.

Amakhosi crashed out of the league at FNB Stadium thanks to a Bradley Grobler strike of 58 minutes after the two sides had entered the game level with 2-2.

Despite the fact that they had conceded the decisive goal in the second half, Solinas thought Chiefs in that sta- tion were better than in the first.

"The first half was difficult because our game did not work, the performance in the first half was not good," Solinas said SuperSport.

"In the second half we played much better, we created chances, it is a pity because we have conceded a goal, but in the second half the performance was positive."

The Italian added that although the Glamor Boys have wasted a chance to win silverware, they must regroup and make sure they secure it elsewhere.

"Today we had a great chance to enter the final, it is a very important final for the club, for everyone in the Chiefs' family." We are disappointed because we will not be in the final, "he admitted.

"Now we have to work hard, because this season we have to get trophies."
